Wineaux may be Tipsy Tough Supporter

What a study in conflicting values is Wine Columnist Ron Saikowski who has just come under fire from the Laura Fillault campaign and others for apparently expressing his support for the TOUGH campaign in a facebook post by characterizing Fillault, who like Saikowski hold a degree in engineering as a “full time mommy” who “has no leadership experience.
The post drew a sharp response from Township Board member John McMullen –
“Ron Saikowski, you went on Facebook and called Laura Fillault for Township, a woman with an engineering degree and an impressive resume, unqualified to serve on the Township Board because she is a “full time mommy.” You then called one of her supporters (also a woman) naïve and stupid. In light of your sexist comments and extraordinarily poor judgment, I will not engage in a prolonged back-and-forth with you. I will simply note that I am proud of my record of fighting for the 86% of Woodlands voters (male and female) who opposed the Woodlands Parkway extension and the May 2015 road bond.”
Fillault also responded to the comment –
“I am proud to be the mother of two wonderful children who will be leaders in their own right. I earned my Industrial Engineering degree from Texas A&M University.
I worked at companies such as Johnson & Johnson, helping them reengineer their drug development process from discovery to market, Bell Atlantic, helping them determine how they were going to fulfill the NYPUC requirement for local number portability, the Australian Tax Office in Canberra, Australia, helping them build the process for the legislated “Pay as you go” system and ExxonMobil, where I helped reengineer several different internal process. These are just my more well known clients.
I lived in France, passed my French driver’s license test and learned conversational French. Oui, je parle francais. I am a political commentator for NRA News and I write on national and state level politics for various online publications. I advocated for The Woodlands Township against the Woodlands Parkway extension from the moment I heard about it. I spoke at Commissioner’s Court, at the Township and at various forums. I am far from just a “full-time mommy” but I do wear my “Mom” badge proudly.”
Saikowski, a “consulting engineer by day and a wineaux by night” sure keeps you guessing at to what his core values are. In the same facebook post he disses Fillault for daring to run against a ” Home Town Hero? Oh yeah…? Its called being led to the guillotine by the Tea Party patriots” while also have signed on to Michael Quinn Sullivan’s petition to oust Texas Speaker Strauss. Saikowski’s facebook is festooned with popular conservative memes including one for the Ten Commandments and a pro Dad meme “A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised and unnoticed yet most valuable assets in our society”. But as a wine writer he has covered women owned vintners and in another touted a wine tasting event in support of breast cancer, itself a contradiction as Susan G Komen warns alcohol consumption ads to the risk of breast cancer , but a contradiction within a contradition for Saikowski is that the Komen Foundation falls far short of the standard of the Ten Commandments with it’s continued support of Planned Parenthood’s Abortion Business.
We don’t know what to think except that perhaps an explanation for Saikowski’s acidic aereation can be attributed to a bad case of Bottle Sickness, for which it is said “A few days of rest is the cure”. We hope so.
Whatever the cause, his support of big spending crony insider Bruce Tough has to be weighed against Saikowski’s own career as a tax feeder living of rich government engineering contracts.
