Republican Chair : JP Court Prayer BENEFICIAL

FFRF, a nationwide state-church watchdog with more than 21,000 members and 900 in Texas, is also filing a complaint with the State Commission on Judicial Conduct in Austin.

When reached for comment at Republican Party headquarters Friday afternoon, Republican Party County Chairman Dr. Wally Wilkerson described the offering of prayers in court as “beneficial” and questioned any protest made by FFRF asking “if the Supreme Court of the United States can open in prayer why cant he?” and “of course I support him!”  referring to Judge Wayne Mack.

A call placed to the offices of the Patriots PAC found no one available for comment at this time.

A spokesman calling on behalf of Judge Mack refrained from comment preferring to wait for developments and to confirm action with the State Committee on Judicial Conduct itself next week.
