DA regrets waiving right to appeal, same ultimatum routinely given to others.
GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — Williamson County District Attorney Jana Duty has started to serve 10 days in jail after a judge found her guilty of contempt of court. It all has to do with whether the District Attorney violated a gag order in a murder case.
By reporting to the Williamson County Jail Friday afternoon, Duty and her attorneys have waived her right to appeal.
“No it wasn’t a good idea,” said Duty.
