The next Judge of the 410th District Court will take over a multi-jurisdictional trial court which handles civil, family, and criminal cases, and must do so efficiently, effectively, and economically beginning on Day One. There is a backlog of cases at the courthouse, an overcrowded jail, and all of it costs the taxpayers too much money. We need a solution.
We need someone who can handle all of those types of cases. We need someone with the business acumen to administer the Court’s business. We need someone with a plan to move cases and the ability to implement that plan.
With her 22 years of experience as a trial attorney, Kristin knows what works and what doesn’t in the courtroom, and knows the law required to handle trials. She has had countless trials, thousands of hearings, and all at the highest level. She has experience with all of the types of cases that the 410th handles. Plus she is a small business owner – and has been for 19 years – so she understands management, personnel, budgeting, calendaring, and prioritizing, all of which are part of running the 410th efficiently and effectively.
The best pick for this Court is a Judge who:
Has the experience to handle all of the cases the 410th handles,
Has the business background to manage the Court economically, and
Has a plan to clear the backlog and the experience to implement that plan.
Kristin Bays checks out on all of these things. She is the best fit for this Court, and the best choice for Montgomery County.
