Four Donors Given Until September 30 to respond to TEC

R u0026amp; M Transportation Consultants, Inc, Danbury Resources, Inc, Texas Renaissance Festivals, Inc and Magnolia Cowboy Church have been notified by the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) they are being investigated for making illegal donations to the Friends of Cecil Bell, Jr Political Action Committee. (
see attached investigation letters). All must respond to these allegations by the deadline or face penalties.

Sara Taylor, Campaign Treasurer of Friends of Cecil Bell, Jr Special Purpose Political Action Committee (SPAC) had been previously notified her SPAC is under investigation for several Campaign Finance Violations. She has until September 17 to respond to the TEC. Representative Cecil Bell, Jr (R-District 3) is a candidate for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives.

Ms Taylor is alleged to have failed to disclose political contributions, political expenditures and loans; accepted political contributions from corporations or labor organizations and failed to include complete data on larger donors. Accepting donations from corporations or labor organizations are potential third degree felony charges.

Mr. Tom Curry, a well known Woodlands area TEA party member filed the complaints on the four corporations after finding they were illegal donors to the Bell PAC.

Campaign Finance Reports in Texas provide the citizen-taxpayers an opportunity to look at the foundational structure of political behavior.
Illegally used funds are a bellwether of performance in political office.
