Apparently, Bruce Tough, doesn’t realize how smart you are. He misjudged you on the extension of Woodlands Parkway and the $350 million road bond by promoting a “Thumbs Up” YES vote (see Video). He actively promoted YES, while 86% of Woodlands residents Voted NO. Well, sad to say, he’s at it again. Why, one wonders, would someone mislead voters, and accept $41,000 in contributions from developers, jiffy marts, gas stations, and who knows what they’ve got up their sleeve for a non-paying job? It’s time to TAKE BACK THE WOODLANDS.

Bruce Tough KNOWS he voted YES for the $350 million road bonds to extend Woodlands Parkway with Thumbs Up videos, group photos with smiling developers and County Commissioners. He did his best to turn our Parkway into a Freeway. Now, he is trying to hide his sins and turn the tables on his gracious opponent, Laura Fillault, by saying SHE was FOR the bonds while he “Stood Against the Bond Package.” Well, informed voters know Bruce is playing ‘switch the conversation’ from his own pro-developer $350M road bond stance to talking about a new and different $280 million bond. He is TRYING to divert everyone away from his guilty deeds. He is hoping you will believe that his opponent, Laura Fillault, “was actually the bad guy. TOTAL SUBTERFUGE! TOTAL MISREPRESENTATION! AND DOWNRIGHT DIRTY POLITICS IN A COMMUNITY like The Woodlands. Bruce voted YES on the original bond. Now he’s hiding like a felon suddenly caught in a spotlight. Who matters more to you – a demonstrably manipulative Bruce Tough or 105,000 residents who need to trust their directors for truth and to actively advocate for residents, not developers.
TAKE THE WOODLANDS BACK FROM THIS FAILED LEADER WHO ABDICATED TO GO OUTSIDE THE WOODLANDS AND PLOTTED TO ADD 6,000 CARS TO WOODLANDS PARKWAY, while leaving many needed road and traffic projects untouched? And, now adds deception to what he offers voters. Who do you trust to be Residents’ Advocates? Candidates running under the Residents’ Advocate banner are : LAURA FILLAULT, JOHN McMULLAN, and MATTHEW BURTON. Time to tell Bruce NO again. Do it in the same place – the voting booth and keep ‘People Above Politics.”
