Divisive Gordy Bunch and the Township President.
Useful example for all government.
Some people want government work work like a well oiled machine, all members thinking and working in lockstep for the same vision. I call that groupthink.
Some people, particularly those with a career as a functionary in big fortune 500 business world, specialize in persuading everyone to get along, find the middle ground and build a consensus. That smacks of the manipulative “Delphi Technique” used to control dissent and push trough special interest agendas.
Forget it.
Gordy Bunch is not perfect. And I do not see what Bunch is talking about when he says he wants to ~ “see if we can work together for the betterment of our community“. We don’t want government, any government to run our lives and tax us to death, we do want government to be small and unobtrusive. We don’t want government to do social engineering and make things happen for the betterment of vendors and contractors. We want it to look out for our life, liberty and property.
If challenging wasteful spending is divisive then we want more divisiveness. If shining a light on crony back room deals is divisive then keep it up.
Look out for the voters and ignore the power mongers. Mistake will be made. We prefer a blunderer over a plunderer any day.
