Illegal Alien Merry Go Round

In 2009 a website “GoHomePlease.com”  was established to shine light on what was dubbed the “Illegal Alien Merry-Go-Round”.

Although the website is now no longer available, then it sought to shine light on the the habit of Montgomery County authorities playing catch and release with Illegal Aliens that were apprehended for crimes in the county and merely released back into the community again.

There was concern about this in 2009 when the situation was brought to the attention of Congressman Kevin Brady with no official action taken to remedy the problem.  We think little has changed since then, But for your review here is a document circulated detailing aspects of the “catch and release” program. Isn’t  it time to ask Congressman Brady again about the disposition of illegal aliens in Montgomery County and the 8th Congressional District?

  1. The practice of catch-and-release is a terrible violation of article 2.25 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. It should stop. If judges follow the law, that’s one of the laws they should follow. I intend to do so if I’m elected Judge of the 9th District Court.

I reported illegal aliens to the INS when I was a Hospital District Board member and knew that a group was coming to ask that the District provide free medical services to illegal aliens. The green trucks of the INS were around the MCHD building that night, and guess what? The illegal aliens didn’t get out of their cars to come to ask for free services!
