ANIMAL SHELTER FEUD EXPANDS
Last week commissioners court public comment delivered by former MCHD Director Eric Yollick was captioned with “WHO IS JOHN GALT?” referring to a key character of ATLAS SHRUGGED the famous 1957 libertarian novel by Ayn Rand. In the novel productive industrialist and productive citizens systematically withdraw from society allowing economic conditions to decline. Those left behind are heard to ask, Who is John Galt?
During public comment Yollick took to commissioners to task over the county budget and the then specifically $3.4 million proposed for the animal shelter while stating that he like the director Dr. Todd Hayden and hoped to meet with Hayden to discuss the proper approach to spending public funds.
According to one source a close friend and Yollick confidant , Yollick optimistically sent a copy of ATLAS SHRUGGED to Animal Shelter Director Todd Hayden who then promptly ditched the tome into the trash.
Also, reports are that a protest rally is scheduled at the shelter tomorrow morning.
