Am I the only one who questions the conventional approach to punishing this type of terrible criminal? Just think about a return to corporal punishment for the first offense.
After being a fugitive for a month, a 36-year-old Houston man on Friday was sentenced in Montgomery County to 20 years in prison for trying to have sex with a 13-year-old girl. Joshua Andrew Jones pleaded guilty to online solicitation of a minor. The sentencing, imposed by district court Judge Phil Grant, is the maximum.
