What are we to think about Congressman Brady who recently was a NO CALL / NO SHOW to the Montgomery County Tea Party debate this past Sunday 14th.
In some jobs you can get written up for that.
The Courier reports “Incumbent Kevin Brady did not return calls regarding why he did not attend.”
Then on this past Wednesday night’s Texas Conservative Tea Party Coalition debate we read “Brady and McMichael addressed the mounting national debt. Brady, answering questions via a cell phone”
How do we square all this with the Congressman’s proud claim from his own website
Kevin is known for staying in touch with those he represents. Unlike many, he never moved to Washington and commutes to work each week from Texas. To make sure he is accountable to his constituents, Kevin holds more than 50 town hall meetings a year.
One definite outcome form this week, they can not longer say Texas Conservative Tea Party Coalition is a fake Tea Party.
This is a surprise to no one. Brady has yet to answer our probing questionnaire. He strung MCTP along until the last minute(Thursday before the debate), claiming he had to stay in DC and vote on the big $1.1 trillion additional indebtedness. And boy did he. He voted FOR it and against us, his constituents!
Congressman Brady is further out of touch everyday, as he has sided w/the establishment conservatives like Ryan, etc. and previously speaker Boehner, whom I once heard Brady call a “conservative” in one of his town hall forums a couple of years ago. That is, before the real conservatives ran Boehner off.
Bradys’ reward to the establishment class of “behaving himself” and keeping his mouth shut – Ways & Means chair. Self evident that the Peter principle does work.
And finally, I’d hardly say the Fake Tea Party, that Kevin Brady gave $1,500 to back in Sept. (5th) of last year, is anything but fake. It’s not conservative and it certainly doesn’t espouse Tea Party principles. Far from it. It’s nothing but a front for a bunch of establishment cronies who’re currently in power and want to make it seem that some third party grassroots group is supporting this! Disingenuous in an understatement here.
