NAPOLITANO HOLDING MEETING TO CLARIFY “TEXAS OPEN CARRY” LAW

MONTGOMERY, TX, Dec. 28, 2015 – Chief Jim Napolitano, who heads the City of Montgomery Police Department, has issued an open invitation for Tuesday, December 29, to city residents, as well as other interested persons in Montgomery County. Napolitano says the law will become effective on January 1, 2016 so he wants to ensure that “both gun owners and non-owners fully understand all parameters of the law.” The meeting will include a question and answer session.

The “Texas Open Carry” meeting will be held at Montgomery’s City Hall, 101 Old Plantersville Road in Montgomery beginning at six p.m. and will be open to the public. Napolitano, who is the Chief of Police for City of Montgomery and a candidate for Montgomery County Sheriff, explains that he is hosting the meeting because he is hearing so many questions and concerns regarding the new law.
