Yollick Calls On Local Republicans To Unite, Stop Internal Clashes, And
Support Republicans In Congress Fighting For A Conservative Successor
To Justice Scalia
Saturday, February 13, 2016, The Woodlands, Texas –
Eric Yollick, Candidate for the Republican nomination for District Judge, 9th District Court, issued a brief statement upon learning the tragic news that United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died last night during a west Texas hunting trip.
“Justice Scalia was a great conservative leader who fought for the integrity of the United States Constitution and was an exemplar of a ‘Constitutional conservative,’ as Senator Barry Goldwater originally coined that phrase. The fight that conservative Republicans must mount to prevent President Barack Obama and his liberal anti-Constitutionalists from placing another liberal ‘Super-Legislator’ on the Supreme Court is one upon which we must all focus. I hope that this serious threat to our Constitutional Republic will unite Montgomery County Republicans, especially those focused on judicial reform, so that we may deploy the strongest strategy to resist what will likely be the most craven liberal ideological barrage we have witnessed in recent decades.”
