Government-run schools have overstepped their bounds once again.
Magnolia ISD has an elementary school principal that has decided she knows the best and “safest” way for you to get YOUR child to and from school.
If you don’t comply, they will use the constable’s office to threaten, bully, or even arrest you!
Bear Branch Elementary School Principal Holly Ray has forbidden parents and students to walk or ride bikes to and from school.
She went so far as to have the bike racks on campus ripped out to make her point.
Some parents that live as close as 2 blocks from the school were forbidden from walking on the school premise with their kids. It usually only takes them minutes to get their children home safely.
But Bear Branch Elementary School Principal Holly Ray has issued an order that ALL parents wanting to pick up their kids after school must do so in a vehicle after waiting in line for as much as an hour.
The only other alternative is to have their kids wait — quarantined and held hostage by school officials — until everyone else has picked up their kids by car.
There have been countless pleas made by Magnolia ISD parents to the principal, school superintendent, and elected school board members starting as early as August, shortly after this ludicrous announcement was made.
These parents want to see their children safely to and from school without putting them on the bus or lining up in the long, slow-moving car line that snakes around a very busy street and major thoroughfare.
When some parents defied this policy and walked their children home from school, she sent a constable to bully them with a threat of a criminal trespass charge, a restraining order from any and all Magnolia ISD property, and arrest!
Magnolia ISD and the local Constable office are teaming up to intimidate and bully parents who only want to pick their kids up from school.
There are many news outlets covering this bullying tactic employed by Magnolia ISD. Many parents are speaking out and attending school board meetings trying to reestablish their rights.
But honestly, they could use some back up — their efforts are falling on deaf ears.
Instead of reversing the policy and disciplining the principal, the school board is backing her decision!
This is where you can help.
Please contact Magnolia ISD via email here and call them at 281-356-3571.
Ask them to stop punishing and threatening the families that live close enough to walk or ride home.
This will also be the topic of our April meeting.
I have asked several of these parents to come speak to us on Wednesday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m. We need to band together as a community when we see this kind of government bullying going on and put a stop to it!
When we stick together as a community we can make a difference. We can make a bully stand down. It is one thing I learned at school the old fashioned way.
Join us on Wednesday, April 27, where we’ll discuss how to take back control of our local schools from big nanny state bullies.
We’ll meet at the Montgomery County Central Branch Library, in the small meeting room, in Conroe, at 6:30 p.m. Please be sure to bring a friend.
We need YOUR help to fight back!
