I attended the public displays of plans and drawings Tuesday at the Conroe Tower for the proposed beautification project planned by TxDOT and the city of Conroe on Texas 105 (West Davis) between I-45 and Texas 75 (North Frazier) in an effort to learn how the residents and taxpayers of this community will benefit from this project.
What I learned is that the city of Conroe and TxDOT plan to spend somewhere between $4 million and $6 million limiting access to the businesses on both sides of this street while providing “pedestrian connectivity” to folks who currently have no desire to walk there.
To paraphrase the purpose of this project: “More wasteful spending.” Read The Rest
