Special Prosecutor Gets TOMA Grand Jury extended
Prostitution defense on fast track
Commissioner exoneration takes back seat to prostitution ring
Full time Defense Attorney part time SPECIAL PROSECUTOR Chris Downey, has succeeded in having Judge Lisa Michalk extend the TOMA Grand Jury investigation, this after sifting through email communications for six months and coming up empty on possible misdemeanor charges against members of Montgomery County Commissioners Court.
On that misdemeanor investigation Special Prosecutor Downey has this to say –
“In an effort to keep going forward with the momentum that has occurred, it would be prudent to do so rather than introduce a set of new people to a very complicated problem,” Downey told The Courier Thursday.
A GRAND SCHEME
Meanwhile, Defense Attorney Downey, after a only a short few days has little trouble sifting through evidence of misdemeanor prostitution to tell KPRC 2 this,
“It seems to me that it’d be pretty reckless to be running around, alleging that folks are all part of some grand scheme when it appears that at least by initial inquiry, a lot of them have no idea who each other are, so we’ll find out,” Downey said.
Suspicion
And he had this for ABC13
“My suspicion is that Katherine couldn’t pick Wayne (Wallis) out of a crowd of two with a hint!”,” said Chris Downey, who is representing ( Katherine ) Rejouis. “We’re going to find out why it is she’s being implicated in all this.”
So Chris Downey is quickly able to defend misdemeanor prostitution based on his suspicions.
For his part, at least Chris Downey has a great website where he writes-
Simply put, our firm knows what it takes to prepare for and succeed in a criminal trial. We regularly utilize our network of experts and investigators in order to furnish any client with the resources necessary for success, whether a client is facing a misdemeanor charge or a complex federal lawsuit. Whether we are handling your federal criminal case or a DWI offense, lawyers at our firm are committed to treating every case as a top priority.
Downey states the firm’s simple mission, “To aggressively defend every client, Every case, Every day”.
Except perhaps when you’re special prosecutor billing on an hourly basis, something taxpayers themselves need to investigate.
Who knows? but my suspicion is Chris Downey has two speeds, Government Speed and Private Speed.
Its a little humiliating for Taxpayers in Montgomery County to learn that Prostitutes and Pimps take precedence over the TOMA case.
That’s not something we should take lying down.
